We’ve partnered up with a talented third-party developer to completely rewrite the ARK Switch code from the ground up with the latest version of Unreal Engine 4, to be released  in September 2022!  This new Switch experience will include enhancements and upgrades to bring it into line, visually and functionally, with the experience on Xbox One and PS4. We love how it’s shaping up, and feel confident you all will too!

And that’s not all! The epic adventure continues with the upcoming launch of ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition on Switch in September 2022! It will be priced at $49.99 and packed with hundreds of hours of content, including the relaunch of ARK: Survival Evolved and Scorched Earth with the additional massive expansion packs to follow in the months ahead!

ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition will include:

• ARK: Survival Evolved – revamped and updated to the latest version of Unreal Engine 4 with the features, visuals, and functionality of the other platforms, while maintaining existing save data and progression.
• Scorched Earth Expansion Pack (launching September 2022) 
• Additional Expansion Packs added at 2-month intervals: Aberration, Extinction, and Genesis Parts 1 & 2
• New cinematic story content to further expand the narrative of ARK: Survival Evolved.

All the improvements coming to the base ARK: Survival Evolved game will, of course, be FREE for everyone who already owns ARK: Survival Evolved on Nintendo Switch.  Players who own the base game can also opt to purchase the Expansion Packs if they wish.
